400m hurdler Kyron McMaster has set a new meet record after placing 1st with a Season's Best time of 47.26 seconds at the 2023 P-T-S World Athletics Continental Tour Silver meeting in Slovakia on July 20.

The impressive time comfortably surpasses the previous meet record of 48.24 and places Kyron 3rd in the season's top list.

David Kendziera of the USA placed 2nd with a time of 48.95 and Danny Brandt of Switzerland took 3rd place in 49.25 seconds.

According to a meet report by World Track, “”McMaster initiated the race with an aggressive start, leading from the beginning ‘til the end. His dominant performance today marked the second-fastest time of his career.”

Kyron, a two-time Commonwealth Games champion, holds a NR and PB of 47.08 seconds which secured him a fourth place finish at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
