Former Virgin Islands Premier Charged with Two New Charges

Two new charges have been added to the charges initially filed in the drug smuggling and money laundering case of former Virgin Islands (UK) Premier Andrew Fahie, former head of Ports, Olivine Maynard and her Son Kadeem Maynard. 

Court documents received moments ago by our news room, shows that two counts of ‘Interstate and Foreign Travel In Aid of Racketeering’ have been filed by Shane Butland, Assistant United States Attorney. If convicted, the charges carry a maximum five (5) years imprisonment and fines of $250,000 each. 

Former Premier Andrew Fahie and former Ports Boss, Olivine Maynard were both arrested in Florida on April 28th 2022, while on travel representing the Virgin Islands (UK). The trial is set to start no later than January 16, 2023, with a twelve (12) day allotted time for the trial.
