SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI: Two residents of District 3, Ms.  Kishma P. Forbes of Virgin Islands School and Office Supplies and Mr. Julian Willock of Advance Marketing and Professional Services have teamed up to host what they are hoping to be an annual event: a Back-to-School giveaway for students in the district.

The back-to-school event will take place on Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 12:00 noon until 5:00pm at the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School Grounds, located in Sea Cows Bay. 

Ms. Forbes noted that the group will be catering for about 100 students, and it will be an evening filled with children’s entertainment, motivational speeches, snacks and music.

Ms. Forbes also expressed her gratitude to the many sponsors and those who contributed individually and other volunteers.

Mr. Willock stated that while this is not the first back-to-school event in District 3, “we are simply building on the legacy of others who have done this including the Third District Representative Hon Julian Fraser, RA and many other Churches in the district”.

The 2023/24 school year begins in early September 2023.
