There has been an Incident Reported today (Thursday 8th December) of a cruise ship passenger almost drowning at Smugglers Cove Beach. 

It is alleged that at approximately 13:00hrs - a Man (32 years), Cruise Ship Passenger, was caught in the Rip Current. It is understood that the tourist was rescued by two other tourists using PRE (Public Rescue Equipment - Life-Ring & Rope). 

There were allegedly No lifeguards on duty today, and Guavaberry Media understands that there are only two (2) lifeguards available to service the entire Territory.
