This morning Saturday 16 September, A Touch Of The Caribbean Day Spa opened its doors at the Loose Mongoose, Beef Island. It is the third location for the spa who has won Best BVI spa and is celebrated on Trip Advisor. 

The spa which has an extensive product and service offering, adds to the experience at the Loose Mongoose, and enhances the tourism product. 

Former Tourism Director Sharon Flax-Brutus who was in attendance at the event, spoke to her excitement on the opening of the spa. She said it was a great location and addition, and that she looks forward to offerings such as Brunch & Spa events. The Loose Mongoose offers a bottomless mimosa brunch on the weekends. 

Merander Stevens, owner of A Touch Of The Caribbean Day Spa was moved to tears as she presented the new spa to family, friends and the media. She spoke of her journey to this point, and thanked her husband for his unwavering support. 

The spa’s other locations are on Virgin Gorda and at the Anegada Beach Club, Anegada. Some of their treatments include the Salt Island Scrub which utilizes locally harvested salt from Salt Island here in the British Virgin Islands, the Loose Mongoose Mud wrap, a range of massage treatments, and skin care using the Elemis product line.
