Four Charged In Friday’s Drug Bust
Following Friday’s drug bust in the Road Reef area, and further operations on the same day in relation to the bust, police have seized two assault rifles, and a significant amount of assorted ammunition, and cocaine. Four men were also arrested and later charged in relation to the recovered items.
Detectives have charged 27-year-old Omari Roberts of Hannah's Estate with two counts of Keeping a Prohibited Firearm without a Licence and three counts of Unlawful Possession of Explosives.
Also charged are 32-year-old Everette Isaac, 44-year-old Pedro Mercedes Soto, and 28-year-old Odai Abdulsalam, of The Valley, Virgin Gorda with Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply Another. All four men will remain in police custody until the next available court date.
Commissioner Collins thanked his ranks he described as “hardworking and dedicated”. He also renews his appreciation for the support of law-abiding members of the public in our efforts to break the back of organized criminal activities in the Territory.
The RVIPF continues to do its part to reduce the number of illegal firearms, ammunition, and drugs on the streets and to arrest those persons in whose possession they are found.

Several units of the RVIPF jointly conducted search operations on Tortola and Virgin Gorda earlier today, October 9th, continuing investigations into organized criminal activities taking place in the Territory. Several arrests have been made in relation to the recovery of drugs, firearms, and ammunition. Investigations are ongoing, and more information will be provided when appropriate.
