An early morning letter issued to Teachers and Students from the Ministry of Education has called off public schools across the Territory for today, Wednesday 7th February due to deteriorating weather conditions in the Territory  

“Due to the anticipated adverse weather conditions forecasted for today, Wednesday, 7th February 2024, the Department of Disaster Management has advised the closure of all public schools in the territory. This decision is to ensure the safety of our students and staff as heavy rain, high winds, and reduced visibility are expected to impact the territory throughout the day.

Students and teachers are asked to remain at home. To ensure continued learning, teachers are encouraged to issue assignments via online platforms.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in prioritizing the well-being of our school community. Stay safe and take the necessary precautions.” the letter stated.
