Flemming House 3 Retains Cheerleading Title, Carlise Claims Track & Field Victory at ESHS Sports Day
In a thrilling display of school spirit and athletic prowess, Flemming House 3 emerged victorious once again in the cheerleading competition at the ESHS Sports Day, while Carlise House secured the coveted title in track and field events after a 12-year drought.
The culmination of days of preliminary events and weeks of intense preparation, the ESHS Sports Day on March 8th showcased the talents and dedication of students from various houses. Dressed in their signature colors of Red, White, and Black, Flemming House 3 delivered a spectacular performance that wowed the audience and judges alike, securing their position at the top of the cheerleading standings.
Principal Garraway took to the stage to announce the winners, with Lettsome House clinching the 4th position, followed by Carlise House in 3rd place and Lincoln House in 2nd place. Despite facing technical difficulties, Oneal House 2 put up a remarkable performance to claim the runner-up spot, much to the delight of their supporters who cheered them on with unwavering enthusiasm.
In the fiercely contested track and field events, Carlise House emerged triumphant after a hard-fought battle with rival houses. The competition came down to a showdown between House 2 and House 4, with Carlise House managing to pull ahead in the final moments of the two-day event to claim victory and end their 12-year wait for the title.
