TWO MALE REPEAT OFFENDERS CHARGED FOR A SERIES OF OFFENCES
Following several weeks of intensive investigation into reports of burglary, theft, and other offences committed at both commercial and residential properties, RVIPF detectives have preferred a series of criminal charges against two males.
The males, Kie-Andre Williams, 21, of McNamara and Jehkhalibbah Williams, 19, of Free Bottom have been jointly charged with a series of offenses ranging from Burglary to Criminal Trespass in relation to separate incidents that occurred during April and May 2024.
Members of the RVIPF conducted several search operations at premises occupied by both men and recovered various items believed to have been stolen from residences and businesses in the Territory. A missing sport utility vehicle was among the properties recovered by the police.
Detectives expect to prefer additional charges on the men in the coming days. Both men have been denied police bail and remain in custody pending the next court date.
The multi-pronged investigation remains dynamic. The public will receive further updates in tandem with any significant developments.
Not The First Run-in With Law
On October 28, 2023, eighteen-year old Jehkhalibbah Williams was apprehended for unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply and unlawful possession of a controlled drug.
In October of 2021, the police arrested 18-year-old Kie-Andre Williams, then of Paraquita Bay and charged him with two burglaries. He was accused of burglarising Bamboushay Restaurant as well as another a business in Paraquita Bay.
