Breaking information to our newsroom has indicated that the alleged suspect in last night’s shooting at the UP’s Cineplex is still at large.

It is alleged that the victim, an auxiliary police officer with the RVIPF was shot last night by her husband.

It is understood and alleged that the victim attended the movie. A source close to the incident has confirmed that the victim received a phone call and left the movie to go downstairs. On arrival downstairs, she met her husband, and an argument ensued, at which point, the suspect pulled a gun and shot the victim.  It is said that the victim, upon being shot, ran back into the cinema to seek help from her friends. 

We understand that other attendees sharing the same row seating, became aware of what had happened and a bit of ruckus ensued. 

Some Patrons unaware of what had happened, but unsure of the ruckus, rushed to make an exit.

it is understood that persons remained behind to help the victim while awaiting the ambulance.

The suspect, Denston Johnny is said to be at large and the Police are looking for him. He is the son of former Police Officer Bill Johnny.
