OFFICER ON INTERDICTION FOLLOWING SMUGGLING ATTEMPT INTO PRISON
Officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force are investigating a report received of an attempt to smuggle contraband into His Majesty's Prison on Friday, July 5, 2024.
As part of the investigation, a Police Constable was arrested for questioning and released, pending further investigation.
The officer, who our media house understands to be Constable Zain Bronstorph, was immediately interdicted from duty. Bronstorph was promoted to Constable in 2022 and celebrated as a top Police Recruit.
The RVIPF is coordinating with prison authorities to progress the investigation. The public will be given further updates as inquiry continues.
Acting Commissioner Jacqueline Vanterpool wishes to assure the public of the RVIPF's commitment to the investigation and prosecution of any alleged malfeasance committed by its members, or any other member of the public service.
