Information reaching our newsroom is that head of Public Works Department Jeremy Hodge is heading over to the RDA. 

Hodge was confirmed in the PWD Director position late 2022. 

Both the Minister for the subject, the Honourable Kye Rymer and Hodge were both ‘mum’ on the matter when asked. Neither confirmed or denied the news. 

Information coming from inside the Ministry of Communications & Works, and the PWD has indicated a tenuous working relationship between the Minister and the Director, suggesting that both are quite often at odds. Other persons have hinted to Hodge being frustrated in his position as Director.

Director Hodge has served in the position just short of two years, with the PWD frequently coming under major backlash due to the state of the roads across the Territory during his tenure. He has indicated a shortage of funds to get required work done. 

At the moment, PWD is working across areas of the eastern Districts, repairing roads.
