MINOR CHARGED FOR MULTIPLE BURGLARIES
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has made a significant breakthrough in investigating a string of burglaries throughout the Territory.
A 17-year-old male from Jost Van Dyke has been arrested and charged in connection with burglaries in Butu Mountain, East End, Great Mountain, and Mount Healthy.
The 17 year old has been charged with four (4) counts of Burglary and Criminal Damage.
“This arrest demonstrates our commitment to addressing the concerns of our residents and ensuring that offenders are held accountable,” stated Jacqueline Vanterpool, Acting Commissioner of Police. “While we have made progress, our efforts will not stop here. We continue to rely on community cooperation to strengthen our crime-fighting initiatives. The involvement of so many young men in crime should be a concern for all of us in society and it will take an all-hands-on-deck approach to solve this serious problem”, she concluded.
The RVIPF encourages anyone with further information regarding these incidents to contact the Intelligence Unit at 368-9339 or submit tips anonymously via Crime Stoppers at 800-8477 (TIPS) or 1-284-800-8477.
