Deadly Boat Accident Takes Life Of Captain

A horrific boating accident took place just after 7pm last evening, Friday November 22nd, in the North Sound, Virgin Gorda area.

Our newsroom understands that one Captain has now been confirmed deceased.

Information is that a small vessel transporting some 6 plus persons, was ran over by a larger vessel.

We extend condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Too many people in a small dingy with no lights on.. it's like driving a car on the motorway with no lights on??.. condolences to the family...my thoughts to the captain and family of the other vessel.. they must be going through hell (JB)

@Condolences: I am friends with the family of the deceased captain. He was a super great guy and by all accounts that I have heard and known, he had a solid reputation of being very safe. I’ve been searching for details on the accident. I heard the other boat didn’t have lights on and was going too fast for the area. If you have a better source of information, I would love for you to share as the family (fiancée included ) and everyone are searching for more answers. Such a waste of a super good guy.
