The Public Service Management Act, 2024 sets forth a historic shift for the Public Service, serving as a mechanism that will help to guide the continued transformation of the Public Service into a world-class organisation.
The Act also formally establishes systems of accountability and transparency, including requiring certain categories of public officers to register their interests with the Registrar of Interests.

Deputy Governor, Mr. David D. Archer, Jr. highlighted the value of public officers familiarising themselves to the Public Service Management Act, 2024 and said that his office will continue its efforts of ensuring the Public Service is in full compliance once the Act comes into force on January 1.
Mr. Archer Jr. said the Public Service Management Act, 2024 is the representation of our collective hopes for a dynamic and world-class Public Service.
The Deputy Governor said, “It takes us further than we have ever been before, and creates avenues for us all to be active participants in the mission of building a Public Service that efficiently meets the needs of our clients, while ensuring a secure, stable and equitable work environment for public officers. We are working to ensure that as an organisation, the Public Service fully meets the established standards of the Act.”
Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Sharleen DaBreo-Lettsome, MBE said that the office is committed to ensuring public officers are thoroughly engaged on the Act and will continue as long as necessary.
Mrs. DaBreo-Lettsome said, “We have a responsibility to ensure public officers at all levels are informed about the provisions of the Public Service Management Act, 2024.
