OGIER, SMITHS GORE, & ROTARY CLUB OF RT BRIGHTENS DDOSH’s CHRISTMAS
This Christmas, the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital (DDOSH) experienced the true spirit of giving, thanks to the thoughtful contributions of Ogier, Smiths Gore, and the Rotary Club Sunrise of Road Town. Their generosity brought comfort and joy to patients and staff, making the holiday season brighter for everyone.
The Rotary Club Sunrise of Road Town donated pillows, hospital gowns, and self-care kits to the Emergency Room on Giving Tuesday. They also decorated the grand Christmas tree in the hospital’s lobby, creating a warm and festive atmosphere for staff, patients, and their families during challenging times.
Ogier added a personal touch with handmade Christmas cards, lovingly created by their staff and their children. In addition, they donated a craft box to bring cheer and entertainment to children spending the holidays in the hospital.
Smiths Gore supported the Dialysis Unit with a $1,425.00 donation, helping to meet the critical needs of patients receiving life-saving care.
Acting Interim CEO, Dr. June Samuel, expressed deep appreciation for these acts of kindness. “These contributions do more than provide practical support—they remind our patients and staff that they are cared for and valued, especially during the holidays,” she said.
The BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) is deeply grateful for partnerships like these, which demonstrate how collaboration can make healthcare more compassionate and impactful for the community.
