‘FAT CAT’ APPREHENDED; APPEALS FOR PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING K’SHAWN MARTIN

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) confirms that 22-year-old Shemoi Carey of Huntum’s Ghut, wanted in relation to the attempted murder of

K’zhari Stoutt on November 8, 2024, has been apprehended. He has since been charged with Attempted Murder, Carrying an Unlicensed Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Explosives.

In connection with the investigation, two individuals were also arrested on Suspicion of Assisting an Offender. Both persons were interviewed by detectives and subsequently discharged pending further inquiries.

The RVIPF is still seeking public assistance in locating the second wanted individual, 18-year-old K’Shawn Martin of Sand Box Road.

The RVIPF urges anyone with information on the whereabouts of K’Shawn Martin to confidentially contact Crime Stoppers at 800-8477(TIPS) or overseas at (284) 800-8477

or the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339. All information provided will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

The RVIPF wishes to inform the public that assisting, or aiding and abetting offenders, with the knowledge that they are wanted, exposes persons to serious criminal

charges and penalties under the law. For example, according to section 352 of the

Criminal Code, Revised Edition 2013, a person who assists an offender is liable to imprisonment between three and ten years.
