Royal Virgin Islands Police Force officers responded to a report of an unresponsive male in a derelict vehicle in the Long Swamp area after 11pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

Upon arrival at the location, officers discovered a male individual inside a green, derelict RAV4 SUV, dressed in a blue plaid shirt and short blue jeans pants and showed no signs of life. He was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.

The deceased has since been identified as Courtney Fahie, 68, of no fixed place of abode. No signs of violence or suspicious markings were observed on the body, and at this stage. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the discovery remain ongoing.
