An overnight fire destroyed the Jerk Pit restaurant on Virgin Gorda late Friday night, January 17th. The fire marked the second reported property fire this month. 

The popular restaurant is located next door to Delta Petroleum Gas Station.

Firefighters stationed on Virgin Gorda responded to the scene after a blaze was reported shortly after 11 p.m. They were able to contain the fire, preventing it from spreading to two adjacent businesses, including the gas station. 

The structure was deemed unsalvageable, and Fire officials have launched an investigation into the cause of the blaze.
