Assistant COP Pam Trevillion Said To Be On Forced Leave
Information reaching our newsroom this morning is alleging that Assistant Commissioner of Police Pam Trevillion MBE has been sent on leave pending investigation into an alleged assault on Acting Commissioner of Police, Jacqueline Vanterpool. We understand there was an altercation where the Assistant is said to have assaulted the Acting COP, and was immediately sent on leave.
Late last year, we received initial reports where Trevillion was denied an extension on her tenure by the Public Service Commission, however, the Governor’s Office opted to override the PSC’s decision and extend Trevillion’s tenure for a further six (6) months. The announcement was made in November 2024.
Our sources are suggesting that the Assistant COP is allegedly showing signs of frustration as her ‘hope’ was to become Commissioner of Police following the departure of former COP Mark Collins.
Late last year, the Governor, without warning, haulted the ongoing application process for a new COP, citing changes in the requirements to become Commissioner.
Just a couple weeks ago however, Governor Pruce praised Acting Commissioner of Police Jacqueline Vanterpool for her work while sitting as the Acting COP.
A stark improvement has been noted over the past few months within the RVIPF, specifically with Police presence in the public.
We will update this article pending further information based on our investigations into the matter.
