Sources are confirming that Omari Roberts was no longer on bail and that the case against him was dismissed.

The Royal Anguilla Police Force is confirming that shortly after 12AM on Monday 17 February, 2025, information was received regarding a shooting incident at Hill Side Bar, located on Back Street, South Hill, Anguilla.

The RAPF has identified the deceased as 29 year old 𝗢𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶 𝗥𝗢𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗦 of the British Virgin Islands, who arrived in Anguilla on 14 February 2025.

Our sources are confirming that Roberts was robbed and murdered. This information has not been verified by the Royal Anguilla Police Force.

The RAPF is urging anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area to come forward. Any information, no matter how small, may assist in our ongoing investigation.  

At the time of his murder, Roberts was on $100k bail for ammunition offenses here in the British Virgin Islands. 

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) had said police seized two assault rifles, and a significant amount of assorted ammunition during an operation on Friday, October 6, 2023.

Mr Roberts was subsequently charged with Keeping a Prohibited Firearm without a License and three counts of Unlawful Possession of Explosives.

It was not his first run in with the law.
