RVIPF OFFICERS RETIREMENT AGE CLAIMS DISMISSED

Information reaching our newsroom is that the Judge has dismissed all claims in the Retirement Age Claims matter regarding former Police Officers Hendrickson Williams,  Augustus Bruce, Teddy Creque,  Calvin James, Dennis Jones, George Mason.

The Officers felt that they were unduly sent on retirement.

We understand that each Officer applied for an extension, and each case was viewed on the needs of the organization (RVIPF). The performance of each Officer and the roles that they were carrying out were fully considered and the decision was made not to extend their time with the Force. A decision we understand that the Governor agreed with.

The Officers had reached retirement age and had received their pensions.

The Attorney General’s Office represented the Commissioner of Police in the matter, and Dr. Terrence Williams KC represented all six (6) Officers.
