The Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change is in the process of developing new legislation aimed at enhancing the protection of the Virgin Islands' natural environment. In a bid to ensure that this legislation reflects the priorities and concerns of residents, the Ministry is inviting the public to participate in a brief, 5-minute survey.

The survey will gather valuable feedback on how important the protection of the environment to the residents of the Virgin Islands and gauge their support for improved environmental legislation. This is an important step in ensuring that future legislation meets the needs and expectations of the community.

Dr. Ronald Smith-Berkeley, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, stressed the importance of community involvement in the process. "The input of residents is crucial to the development of legislation that not only strengthens environmental protection but also aligns with the values and concerns of our communities," said Dr. Smith-Berkeley. "By taking a few minutes to complete the survey, you can have a direct impact on how we approach environmental conservation and sustainability in the Virgin Islands."
