The Senior’s Home in Virgin Gorda is receiving some well needed upgrades, thanks to businessman Lesmore Smith. 

The repair works include the repainting of the building, installation of an airconditioning unit and the extension of the deck. Smith is doing the work voluntarily. 

District Nine Representative and Minister for Health and Social Development, Hon Vincent O. Wheatley, lauded the project non his Facebook page on Saturday March 22nd;

“Big shout out to Mr. Lesmore Smith for improving the VG Seniors Home! This is what true community service and spirit is all about, and to Mr. Joseph “Tatoo” Smith for repairing the fence. Thank you gentlemen!”

Our newsroom reached out to the businessman who noted that he was grateful for the opportunity to continue to give back to a Territory that had created numerous opportunities of success for him. 

“When you’ve been blessed, you should bless others.” Smith said 

The project began about a week ago is expected to be completed by today, Monday, March 24, 2025.
