52nd BVI Spring Regatta In Full Swing

The 52nd BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival is underway at Nanny Cay. Registration took place on Monday March 31, 2025. The beauty unfolded yesterday April 1 as the boats took to sea in the first day of the Sailing Festival, the legendary Round Tortola Race for the Nanny Cay Cup. The Sailing Festival continues today Wednesday April 2, with the Scrub Island Invitational. 

The Spring Regatta

On Thursday, April 3, the Spring Regatta Village will come alive with the second round of registrations.

Mount Gay Race Day on Friday, April 4, kicks off the first of the three races that make up the BVI Spring Regatta, with the Village opening later on in the evening featuring entertainment by DJ Wiz and the 3G’s Band. 

Racing continues into Saturday with additional activities for kids and teens, followed by a final race day on Sunday April 6th, closing with the awards ceremony. 

Youth Team From Antigua Join 

A youth team from Antigua will be competing in this year’s event for the very first time. The team who are all under 26, will be sailing on the RP37, Warthog, a Reichel Pugh design. Jim Vos is the Owner/ Driver and the team consists of a large number of sailors from Antigua and Barbuda’s Star Sailors League (SSL).

Boats from fifteen different countries will join local sailors from the Virgin Islands and other Caribbean islands for the events
